HOW TO ADD CLICKABLE BUTTONS TO MY BLOG POST

 

I had first thought it was a difficult task for someone to get one of those fancy clickable buttons on a blog, but frequent on how to add blog features and other settings have made me know it's not difficult as I had imagined.

You do want your blog visitors to view a button that will give your blog that standard look it deserves. Well, you have today reached the right post to get that done on your blog. In this tutorial,  I'm going to explain how you can get this done using a step strategy. 

But before we jump into the step procedure, let's know what this clickable button is all about.

WHAT ARE CLICKABLE BUTTONS:

Clickable buttons are those fancy icons in static or GIF format that display as a writeup or photo style that directs a blog visitor to a new page whenever it is clicked on in a blog. These buttons sometimes are writeups like: "Click here", "Tap', "Select" etc.

WHERE ARE THESE BUTTONS DISPLAYED:

A clickable button can be added to your blog sidebar space or in any section of a blog post. However, before adding the buttons to your blog, you need to first download the button you want. You can get these buttons by making a search on the term "Blog buttons or clicking on Dreamstime or Topping to download the buttons to use.

With all that said, let's dive into how to add a button to our blog sidebar and your blog post.

HOW TO ADD A BUTTON TO YOUR BLOG SIDEBAR:

STEP 1:

Open your blog dashboard and select the blog you want to add the button on. ie if you have multiple blogs.

STEP 2:

Click on Layout.

STEP 3:

Click on the "Add a Gadget" writeup at the top of your sidebar widgets.

STEP 4:

Scroll down and click on "image" to add the Image widget.

STEP 5:

Tick the circle behind the "upload image from computer" and Choose the file.

STEP 6:

Navigate and select from your device file manager the downloaded icon or button you want to appear on your blog sidebar and press "Enter"

STEP 7: 

The icon will be uploaded after some time of loading and you are to paste the link you want your visitors to be directed to whenever they click the icon and click on "Save"

HOW TO ADD A CLICKABLE BUTTON TO YOUR BLOG POST:

STEP 1:

While writing the post, go to the part of the blog post you want the button to display and click on the icon of adding an image on the Blogger dashboard editor. 

STEP 2:

Locate the file which the downloaded icon is, select it and press Enter on your keyboard.

STEP 3:

After uploading the image icon on your blog post, tap on the picture for it to look like it's highlighted then click on the Link icon of your blogger editor. 

 STEP 4:

A square shape mini page will pop up having an automatically generated link by Blogger, clear the link, add the link you want to open when the icon is clicked on and select the APPLY icon.

STEP 5:

Click the publish icon at the left top of the screen when you are done.

STEP 6:

A display of the Tap icon showing in the blog post it was added to.
