Before now I wondered how I see a desktop view that shows great designs on other blogs when I use a mobile phone, but my blog was not able to do much on my phone.  I only see a set of lined-up posts whenever I load my blog on a mobile phone browser and I wasn't finding it cool. After taking many courses and asking questions on search engines, I got to know how to stop my blog from displaying a mobile view(version).

However, I will be implementing a step process with screenshots to assist in this post to teach you how to stop mobile device view from your blog whenever it is searched for. Before diving into the step procedure, let's have a short word of description of what we will be talking about.

WHAT IS A BLOG MOBILE VERSION?

A blog mobile version is the lite version display style of a blog which does not show the full widget features and style of the blog. It can also be said to be a smaller version of a blog specialized for the small screens on smartphones which differs from a desktop and computer version style of a blog.

REASONS FOR REMOVING A MOBILE VERSION:

• Restriction of Blog Designs:

The mobile version of a blog restricts the view of some of the design contents of a blog. The majority of blog visitors love seeing and also rate sites based on the styles and features they view on the blog and that will make them want to keep visiting your blog for more information updates.

• Device Display Issues:

Due to the different varieties and sizes of mobile phones in the market system, a blog's mobile version is unable to fit in the size of all screens which affects the display of the site on some smartphones.    

• Competition In The Blogging System:

If your blog is not a popular one known by a mass number of people, then using a mobile version is not what I will advise you to do if you desire to have a place among blogging competitors. What do I mean? The style and features displayed on desktop and computer versions will always be chosen over the lite mobile version with regards to the fact that some visitors go into reading the moment they see that awesome design of a blog not minding the quality of its content.

• STEP 1:

Login to your blogger dashboard and select the site you want to work on.

• STEP 2:

Click on Theme after the Layout option on the left side of your screen:

• STEP 3:

Click on the dropdown menu arrow symbol beside the customize icon in the middle of your screen.

• STEP 4:

A list of options will display and you will select the mobile settings.

Note: If the mobile settings option does not pop up among the listed options then you might need to change to another blog theme. The mobile settings option is not available on all themes.  

• STEP 5:

A message will pop up asking you if you want to show a Desktop or Mobile theme on mobile devices. Mark the circle symbol close to the Desktop option(O Desktop) and click on Save.

• STEP 6:

Click on the View blog option of your dashboard to get a confirmation of your workings.

• STEP 7: The new mobile view.

DESKTOP VERSION OF THE SITE

• If you have completed this task as it is written by SXT, a Desktop version of your blog is certain to display on a mobile device whenever it is loaded on a mobile browser.
