Do you want to add a link to your blog post just like many other bloggers but find it difficult because you are new to blogging? Well, adding a link to a blog is an important feature to apply to your posts as it brings at ease the locating of writeups described on your blog.

Adding a link to a blog post is a system of adding links that redirect a reader to another page or writeups. The writeup to which the link has been added becomes clickable and certain to take the reader to the page of the link attached to it.

The adding of a link set-up plays a good role when you wish for your readers to confirm a point stated in your post-write-up. This process works more in the news posting blogs, news posters add links to top websites on posts that have a substantial point 

• Links to other posts:

Aside from adding links to other blogs, you can also add links to other of your blog contents(pages or posts). It is also a good idea to add links on writeups of words related to the contents of your posts or pages. The process makes it easy for readers to locate their way to other posts on your blog and serves as a slight means of boosting post stats.

HOW TO ADD LINKS TO YOUR BLOG POST WRITEUPS

Note:  Adding links to posts can be while writing a new post or posts can be edited after publishing in other to add a link. in this post, the process will be explained using a new post. 

This post explains how to get this done using a step by step tactics listed below:

                                                       STEPS

STEP1:

Login to your blogger dashboard and select the blog to add a link to its writeup.

STEP 2:

Click on the create new post icon(+ NEW POST) on your dashboard.

STEP 3: 

You will have to highlight the word or set of words you want to attach the link to.

STEP 4:

Copy the link of the page you want your visitor to be redirected to after making a click.

If you could observe from the photos in STEP3 and STEP4, the word HIGHLIGHT in the post example was highlighted in STEP3 and a google search of the word highlight is made in STEP4. Links should all have something related to the words they have been attached to make them meaningful.  

STEP 5:

With the text already highlighted, Click the Insert and edit link icon that is before the picture adding your blogger writing tools. 

STEP 6:

Paste the link of the page on the space that popup after clicking the link icon. 

STEP 7:

You will see two mini boxes to choose if you want the placed link to open in a new tab or not and if to add a rel' no follow attribute whenever the link is clicked upon. Make a choice and click on the "Apply" icon on your screen.

 If you have completed the aforementioned steps in your blog post, your links will display and the words will be clickable after you publish the post.
